Evaluation of the Integrated Guideline Package (IGP) for growth and jobs
This evaluation is commissioned by the European Commission, DG ECFIN, in the context of the framework contract signed between the Directorate General for Budget and Ramboll Management in association with Matrix and Eureval (Lot 3). In May 2007, the EC has launched an evaluation of its input into the Integrated Guidelines for Growth and Jobs and the associated governance system, with an aim to feed into the next cycle 2009-2011. This evaluation has been entrusted to a consortium involving three European companies (Ramboll-Management, Matrix and Eureval).
This external evaluation has been commissioned by the European Commission in order to feed into the process of revising the IGP, a process which has al-ready started at the date of this report, and which will continue until mid-2008. This is a formative evaluation, aiming to support organisational learning and to suggest possible ways to improve the practical functioning of the IGP.
The evaluation therefore focuses on the practical need for and use of the guidelines for improving policy making in the Member States as well as in the Community.
